Default new era wholesale The Rich Heritage of Cherry Blos

Way back in 1905 Dan and Charles Mason initiated the concept of marketing shoe polish in small tinned packaging. Unlike the shoe polish that was sold during that time they planned to introduce a shoe polish for boots and shoes that would also not tarnish the clothes of the people wearing their polished footwear. To give shape to their dreams and idea they hired a chemist to develop the special formulation for their path-breaking innovation that would give us the famous Cherry Blossom Shoe Polish of today.
1906 saw their dreams come true and they launched the very famous "Cherry Blossom Boot Polish". As expected the product hit the market like a tornado and was a thumping success. During 1911 the company made a fantastic marketing plan to make the product a household name. They took the Exhibition at Crystal Palace on lease for one full day and customers were invited completely free of cost with just a simple "Cherry Blossom lid". The company kept strategizing and created historical marketing coup when they built a facsimile of the Big Ben Clock Tower and invited its customers to come and "meet under the tower". The event was a huge success and London to date remembers the traffic chaos created on its streets owing to this magnificent marketing event.
Owing to its resounding success, in 1913 a separate company was opened by the name of Chiswick Polish Company Ltd. This company was a joint ownership by the Mason family and Reckitt & Sons Limited. The management of the company had a strong organizational culture and believed in the welfare of its workers and staff. They introduced a 5 day week for its workers and also announced a pension plan in 1923. They also provided 50 semi-detached housing facilities for its workers.
1924 witnessed the revolutionary 'fish-plate' metal opener on Cherry Blossom's Boot Polish lids. Later years saw this progressing to "butterfly opening tins" and in 1983 to the "press to open" lid as known very well to all of us today.
1929 was very vital to the company as it merged with Nugget Polish Company Limited and the company's name changed to Chiswick Products Ltd. This merger between the largest companies in floor and boot polish created a massive global brand. They now had their warehouses, factories in many countries other than UK too along with a global distribution system.
1954 witnessed yet another merger with Reckitt & Colman Holdings Ltd. Over the years in spite of the technological advancements changing the whole process of manufacturing the formula of the shoe polish has not undergone much change from the time it was first introduced. During 1960 the company introduced "Padawax" that was a liquid shoe polish with a sponge applicator.
By the 1960's Reckitt & Colman were not just producing shoe polish but were also involved in the complete process of packaging and printing its tins. They had centralized all the activities required to produce and distribute their products under one roof.
Finally 1994 saw the arrival of Cherry Blossom Shoe Polish. Its manufacturing began in Alfreton, Derbyshire. Cherry Blossom has introduced its premium range in shoe polishes and continues to rule the hearts of consumers worldwide.
Following the introduction of Nike shoes sale asics cumulus, a technical breakthrough occurred in 1972 when Bill Bowerman, while studying the pattern on a waffle iron, came up with a great idea - waffle soles.
