Via Right Field Bleachers, the Oakland Athletics signed Ben Sheets to a contract:
Sheets, who started the All-Star Game in 2008,
Cheap Feidi Sunglasses, didn’t pitch at all in 2009 after undergoing elbow surgery. He made a complete recovery, and was very impressive when he threw for teams last week in Louisiana.
Free agent right-hander Ben Sheets has signed with the A’s,

All I can say is wow. Sheets is the type of player Oakland usually lets go in a trade or to free agency (think Rich Harden, Mark Mulder). They must really think he’s healthy to give him that kind of money.
Sheets agreed to terms on a one-year deal for $10 million, plus incentives. He passed a physical today, and the deal is expected to be announced this afternoon.
I like Sheets and hope that Oakland’s contract is justified. This certainly makes a splash. When he’s good,
