Thumbs up Horse Art Blogs – Working in watercolour and gouache

I ( Maggie Raynor ) have just finished my painting of four Arabian horses’ heads. brand handbags Much of my work in horse art has involved relatively small images in fine detail however these heads have been painted quite a bit bigger than is usual for me which has meant getting to grips using paint on a larger scale. These heads are done in watercolour and gouache which just about works for this particular sizing but my next project calls for yet larger scale and for this I will be compelled to work in oils and acrylics. Watercolur is quite difficult to to control on a large scale but helps you to achieve fine detail for smaller images. For this equestrian art project I chose handbag louis vuitton four grey heads because this works well in watercolour. You can leave most of the paper white and apply the modelling and shadows in a tintÂ*- I use a mix of cobalt blue, indigo, neutral tint and indian red. If all goes well, this can look very effective. The trouble starts when you realise that you’ve messed things up ! Three of the heads worked well, but the fourth just wouldn’t come right. When this happens you have toÂ*resort to using gouache as it is opaque and can be overpainted. The luminosity of watercolour is completely lost, but I battled on knowing that you can learn more from carrying on than by giving up on your mistakes. The highest quality giclee style equestrian prints ( limited edition ) will available from these head paintings in due course and will handbags purses be included in my equine art ##################Â*on my Equiprint website.
