Too many computers Image by Tom Morris I won’t mention the two netbooks upstairs (Linux), nor the server upstairs (I’m SSHed into it from my laptop). I really don’t like Windows. My laptop suddenly froze yesterday and when i rebooted it it froze during start up. Can someone help please? Formatting is out of the question as there are precious file which i don’t want to lose. I can’t back up my files as i can’t access a backup program to do so. If anyone has a solution to backing up my files this would be much appreciated. Thanks. Best answer: Answer by Jacoba file in the OS might be corrupted i would recommend trying to reformat the laptop and see if that will sort it out.
