With the decade coming to a close, media outlets across the world are coming up with various “Top Ten” of the Aughts (or whatever we’re supposed to call the 2000s.) While Vogue compiles its best dressed, AdAge has come up with the top ten products.
Keeping very good company with things like the iPod, Guitar Hero,Video Kirsty Hume as Betty Sue in Agent Provocateur – Fashionista Fashion Industry News, Designers, Runway Shows, Style Advice, the Prius,The Answer To High Energy Cost Is The Use of LED Lights, and Crest Whitestrips is 7 for All Mankind. And we totally agree with this choice.
When 7s launched in 2000, the landscape of fashion most definitely changed. Don’t you all remember buying your very first pair? We sure do.
The age of designer denim was born and no one looked back. Blue Cult, J Brand,Impress with Easter Desserts - Chocolate Cheesecake Recipe, Jet–none of these brands (and countless others) would have ever existed without the success of 7. AdAge tells us by 2007 the brand was doing $300 million in sales. Of course others wanted to follow suit.
So while we’re sure our savings accounts would have been better off, we’re so glad 7s were born ten years ago.
