The Vikings are one of at least eight teams that have scheduled private workouts with Auburn quarterback Cam Newton, NFL.com and the NFL Network reported Wednesday. Six of those eight teams draft ahead of the Vikings' No. 12 pick — No. 1 Carolina, No. 3 Buffalo, No. 4 Cincinnati,Cheap Rock&Republic Jeans, No. 6 Cleveland, No. 8 Tennessee and No. 10 Washington. Carimi doesn't think his confidence will do anything but help his draft stock. "I wouldn't see why you wouldn't want a confident player," Carimi said. Carimi, defensive end J.J. Watt and running back John Clay were among the Badgers' prospects working out Wednesday.
