Since I am fair skinned and have really light eyes, I have to have sun protection even on grey and overcast days. This means that I always have one or twenty pairs of glasses at the ready and a tub of sunscreen. Before I was a mom, this used to mean a pair of shades in the car, one in my purse, another in the camera bag, and a few at the house "just in case". But, now that I am charged with carrying a whole family's worth of gear in my "mom purse", I really see the allure of having sunglasses and sun gear that is substantial and rugged and ready for any of us to grab and wear whenever the sun peeks out.
