Leica gingerbread men mark Paul Smith tie-up Thursday belstaff online 28th July 2011 Chris Cheesman Picture credit: Brett Leica baked gingerbread men to help model new, limited-edition, camera cases designed by Paul Smith. The Leica biscuits posed for photography journalists at a function in central London last night. One is seen clutching a camera, the other holding a pair of Leica binoculars. Leica embarked on the baking operation to help belstaff uk celebrate its tie-up with the luxury British designer who has styled two cases for the D-Lux 5 digital camera. Just 300 of the Paul Smith-themed cases have been produced, each hand-made – 150 in brown-coloured calf leather (pictured above) and the other half in a light grey 'croc-style' finish. The cases, each embossed with 'Paul Smith for Leica', will cost £200 and are due out in October from the Leica Store Mayfair. To place an order call 0207 629 1351.
