DRE CRYPT is a conditional access system which is a part of DRE broadcasting platform. DRE CRYPT is fully interoperable with most of broadcasting hardware and deploys different access modules at subscriber's side. Main feature is absolute security while exploiting proven and widely used common-scrambling (CSA) technology.
The main subscriber access methods include embedded-module technique,beats by dr dre headphones, Common Interface PCMCI module and dongle.
STBs with embedded CAM allow fast system deployment as DRE is always ready to ship such STBs to operators in large quantities. CI CAM allows operators to deploy PCMCI-equipped STBs. And dongle technique allows 'tunneling' into existing broadcasting infrastructure or even deploying FTA receivers to work with DRE broadcasting networks. DRE works closely with operators and manufacturers to fully fulfill its customers' demands.
