The victim told police he was sitting on the front steps of a residence at 320 High Street when a man approached him and “asked him for a Marlboro Red cigarette.” The victim was texting a friend but when he finished texting, the victim went to hand the man his lit cigarette and saw he had a black mask on, his hood up and was holding a knife.
The victim told police the man with the knife ordered him to “give him all the Newport 100s cigarettes he had.” The victim said he handed over a near-full pack of Newport 100 cigarettes and the robber fled.
Police noted in court papers that Goins was identified by the victim in a photo lineup.--Reported by Cheap Newports Website.
