As New Zealand industries evolve, employers are looking for IT professionals with new and varied expertise sets. This conference is significant as it will encourage further collaboration between the tertiary education and commercial sectors to ensure the abilities shortage gap is addressed. “The conference is aiming to ensure that future programmes and courses at MIT match industries need for multi-skilled employees both within NZ and internationally,” says Brett O’Reily, CEO for NZCIT. “Engagement such as this between educators and stakeholders is critical to the development of NZ as a world leading digital economy.” Participants will include representation from; Manukau Institute of Engineering, New Zealand Information and Communication Technologies Group Inc (NZICT),Microsoft Office 2007 Professional, New Zealand Computer Society Inc.
