VOL.37th;NO.;PAGE.107-112(2003) Figure&Table&Reference;TBL.1,Office 2007 Download, REF.5 Pub. Country;Japan Language;Japanese Abstract; This paper revises conversation-analysts' turn-taking policies,Microsoft Office Enterprise 2007, which have been thought to regulate who speaks following in a conversation. Main claims are (i) that the turn-taking policies per se do not specify who be the following speaker, only specifying when a next turn may, and has to,Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2010, start, and (ii) that the selection of the subsequent speaker obeys a general rule that the next speaker is self-selected from among the (possible) addressees of the current flip. The differenciation of the next-speaker-selection rule from the turn-transfer guidelines enables us to consider two common cases, which have not been taken into account in relation to the original turn-taking policies: (a) no selection of the following speaker of an obligatory subsequent turn,Office Professional Plus 2010, and (b) selection of the (possible) subsequent speaker(s) of a non-obligatory up coming flip. The selection of addressees by the speaker and by themselves is also discussed. (writer abst.)
