It;s that time of year: Just just before the start of Microsoft;s new fiscal yr (which commences on July one). That indicates it;s time to play musical executive chairs.
On June 24, Microsoft announced the first of what I;m betting will be numerous org-chart changers to appear over the next few weeks. Longtime Microsoft partner head,Microsoft Office 2010 Professional, Corporate Vice President Allison Watson, is shifting over to turn into the head of Microsoft;s U.S. Enterprise & Marketing Organization (BMO). And the head of BMO, Corporate Vice President Jon Roskill, is taking Watson;s job,Microsoft Office Professional 2010, heading up Microsoft;s Worldwide Spouse Group.
Microsoft is making the announcement about three weeks prior to the kick off of its Worldwide Companion Conference — which is happening this 12 months in Washington, DC,Microsoft Office Enterprise 2007, starting July 11. The WPC is where thousands of Microsoft resellers, systems integrators, OEMs,Microsoft Office 2007 Professional, and ISVs, among others, convene annually to hear about the provider;s sales and product strategies.
Roskill will report to Vahé Torossian,Microsoft Office Enterprise 2007, corporate vice president of the Worldwide Modest and Midmarket Solutions & Partners (SMS&P) Group, who was recently appointed to that post. Watson, who has headed the spouse organization since 2002, will report to Robert Youngjohns, senior vice president of North America Sales & Marketing.
The pair both assume their new jobs starting July one.
