　　日前，一项为期两年、规模空前的研究结果表明：每天摄取干酪乳酸杆菌代田株(即一种典型的益生菌，为养 乐多饮品中所使用的菌株)对降低幼儿急性痢疾发病率效果显著。这是株式会社养乐多本社与印度国立霍乱及腹泻 研究中心共同进行的一项关于益生菌与幼儿急性痢疾发病率的研究成果。
　　据日本共同社报道,健尔马脊柱保，全世界5岁和5岁以下儿童每年的死亡的人数是880万，而且印度是死亡最高的国家(每年约为183万儿童 )。据报道，在印度5岁及以下儿童死亡中13%是由于痢疾原因导致。(Black RE等，Lancet.2010.375：1969-1987)。
　　这是一个涉及印度加尔各答3585位1至5岁的儿童的双盲随机对照试验。参与试验的两组儿童分别持续1 2周每天摄入养乐多或安慰剂,无叶电风扇，观察急性痢疾发病率并检测粪便中的病原微生物。
　　结果表明,铂金骑士，相比“安慰剂”组(1,783人中674人发病)，“养乐多”组患痢疾的儿童比例(1,802人中608 人发病)显著降低。此外,健尔马足疗机报价，“养乐多”组痢疾发病率(0.88次/小儿/年)相对于“安慰剂”组(1.029次/小儿/年)低，这个差异具有明显统计学意义(P <0.01),无叶电风扇。同时对痢疾腹泻儿童进行致病菌，病毒和寄生虫分析得出，养乐多组气单胞菌属和隐孢子虫属的检出率较安慰剂 组低。
　　安慰剂和“养乐多”的口味和颜色是相近的,健尔马足疗机二代，但安慰剂饮料中不含有干酪乳杆菌代田株。养乐多的功效是通过对比摄取2组饮料的不同效果而取得的科学性验 证。
