rom should be a day when every girl gets to feel like a princess, Sarah Singletary says.It should not be a day for worrying about how to afford a dress, shoes or a hair appointment.Since the average high-school girl now spends about 400 in preparation for that big night, feeling like a princess <a href="http://www.mmogarden.com/swtor-power-leveling-37.html"><strong>star wars power leveling</strong></a> might seem unattainable for some.That's why Singletary has started Enchanted Closet, an organization meant to help girls in need find the perfect prom dress - for a lot less money."I just kept hearing different stories from my friends who work in salons and do hair," Singletary said."They always talk with girls about if they're going to the prom, about how some girls aren't going because it's so expensive."So I thought it would be great to start something here where people could donate their old dresses to help these girls."Enchanted Closet began its first dress drive in late November, and racks have been set up inside Hairway 33, Reedsburg National Bank and Swim Reedsburg to accept donations for girls in need."Everyone has those dresses they're hanging on to that they'll never wear again," Singletary said. "Hairway 33 offered to do some up-dos, I'm doing a make-up artistry program and one girl will get her hair done, makeup done and pictures before prom."Singletary said she hopes to receive and distribute at least 20 dresses this year, then expand the program in the future.Corinne Busser, junior advisor at Reedsburg Area High School, said she has seen a definite need for a program like Enchanted Closet among the girls she advises. At RAHS, prom is a once-in-a-lifetime event, since only juniors are eligible to attend or invite other students."There's always a handful of them who figure they can't afford to go or don't know what they're going to do," Busser said.
