We have a couple of vintage bottles on our dresser and always plan on using them as vases — but we never remember to buy flowers.
Then we heard about Belle Fleur’s partnership with the CFDA’s charity,Mulberry handbags (http://www.mulberryshop.org), Fashion Targets Breast Cancer,Mulberry Holdalls (http://www.mulberryshop.org/mulberry-holdalls), and realized that placing an order with them would be a much easier way to get fresh flowers into our apartment.
The New York based florists created a very fashionable, all-white bouquet that comes in a clouded blue, vintage-looking vase that we’d love on its own.
The CFDA Couture Fleur Bouquet is pricey at $150, but 15% of the proceeds go toward finding a cure for the disease and delivery in Manhattan is free. And even though it’s not hand-sewn in Paris,Mulberry Oversize Work's Bags (http://www.mulberryshop.org/mulberry-oversize-work-s-bags), we’ll still call it “couture” because… well… the CFDA gets to make its own rules.
We hope the bouquet freshens up our messy room –
But if not, at least it goes along with the Spring ’08 trend of massive, cool florals.
