I've been working in small sizes on panels and odd sizes ("tall" paintings) on canvas, but now I'm back to painting on a large stretched canvas (44" x 44"). rift platinum Typically I begin an abstract painting with some sort of background to work off and then continue in an intuitive expressionist manner. This time I began rift platinum with a plan in mind--an idea of what I wanted to do with this painting. It was going to take several layers, and this first one is a background starting on the bottom with a medium cadmium red and working my way up through oranges, yellows, and parchment aion kinah to white at the top. Canvas #125, 44" x 44" acrylic on canvas. Come back tomorrow to see what I do next.
