Country;Japan Language;Japanese Abstract; This paper revises conversation-analysts' turn-taking rules, which have been thought to regulate who speaks subsequent in a conversation. Main claims are (i) that the turn-taking rules per se do not specify who be the next speaker, only specifying when a next flip may,Windows 7 Pro (http://www.windows7-ultimate.net/), and has to,Microsoft Office 2007 Key (http://www.office2010-key.us/office-2007-key), start, and (ii) that the selection of the following speaker obeys a general rule that the following speaker is self-selected from among the (possible) addressees of the current flip. The differenciation of the next-speaker-selection rule from the turn-transfer guidelines enables us to consider two common cases,Windows 7 Activation (http://www.msoffice2010key.net/windows-7-key), which have not been taken into account in relation to the original turn-taking principles: (a) no selection of the following speaker of an obligatory following turn,Microsoft Office Professional 2010 (http://www.office-2007-key.de/office-2010-key), and (b) selection of the (possible) subsequent speaker(s) of a non-obligatory up coming flip. The selection of addressees by the speaker and by themselves is also discussed. (writer abst.)
