I have vivid memories of cocktail parties in our s
I have vivid memories of cocktail parties in our suburban New York living room when I was growing up in the 1950s. Before being sent to bed in footed pajamas, I was mesmerized by my father’s silver martini shaker, the groupings of oddly shaped glasses prom dresses 2011 (http://www.fashion7days.com), and the transformation of neighborhood moms into fashion plates. Their full-skirted dresses with fitted bodices rustled softly with every movement and nearly covered the couch when they sat down.
